I have encountered some problems, but Dave from Cluckhub is very helpful. The timer function is what I use because I have some sports lights, and if a coyote visits, it will trip it up. With this door, my chicken can be freely raised during the day and safe at night. I should have received this before 50 chickens.

This automatic chicken cage door is amazing! It is 100% solar powered and has different settings, so you can use the remote control to turn it on/off. My remote control is set to turn on 30 minutes after sunrise and off 30 minutes after sunset, so that the chickens can safely stay inside at night and I am happy to have time in the morning. I won't let them go out. Don't forget to open/close the door for the girls, it's really great! We're all very happy!

For over a year, this automatic door has been a reliable safety feature of our cooperative. My hen knows that once it gets dark, she will start walking inside, so automatically closing the door when it gets dark is the key. As you can see, ladies all like it and let them go out on the first day. I really like the safety feature of double closing. It descends once, then immediately opens halfway, pauses, and then closes again to prevent the chicken from getting trapped under the closed door. The only downside is that the remote control doesn't work even from a long distance, but I have never used it too much because I prefer to set it to light mode.
