Worth the price - 11/25/2023

You may be thinking, hey, I should buy all Meta branded products so I know they will be compatible. Think again. This charger only works when I pull out the strap and mask completely. Honestly, I don't know if it works with the original tape. Unless you don't mind the trouble, don't buy it. Unfortunately, most third-party charging stations are also junk.

Longtime Quest users and fans, but I've just been on the dock for about 6 weeks. The headset has to be right on the base, but the problem is I put it carefully every time, sit there and stare at it until the lights come on, make sure it's connected properly, and then I would say at least a third of the time, the lights go out when I leave it, and when I have time to play back a few hours later, it's not charged at all! It's so depressing! I give up. Now plug in my headphones.

Do a quick Google search for "Meta Quest 3 charging dock will not charge headphones" and you'll see why this thing isn't worth buying. In the premise, this sounds amazing - but the pin connection is very sensitive, and you have to adjust the Angle just right for certain straps

The charger initially worked well - the stand charged the controller and headphones without problems. After about 2 months, the headset will no longer charge, but the controller will still work. I've cleaned the contacts and tried almost every headphone location, but it still won't start charging. It's disappointing that such an expensive official accessory works so poorly.

I bought an aftermarket charging dock, but it was worthless. I had to plug in the headset and auxiliary battery separately, didn't plug in the charger properly, so half the time it didn't even work, and had to install special battery doors for the controller. It's a constant struggle to keep everything working. This charger is a dream. I just put it out there and in an hour or less, it's fully charged and the controller and everything is ready. Don't waste money on other people. Let's buy this first.

The charging dock worked as designed, my only problem was that I was using a comfortable headband, the weight of the headband caused the front to lift up a bit, and that was the reason for the charging. I had to put a block behind the charger for the back of the headband to rest on to make sure the front stayed in contact with the charging port. It did work well with the original headband, but that thing was uncomfortable.

This dock is perfect for recharging my meta-mission 3. It comes with its own rechargeable battery for your controller, so say goodbye, buy double A batteries again, and say hello to your base, although it's a great product, it does have one drawback, which is that it's hard to line up the charging pile with the physical headset when you charge the meta, rather than buying it.

The controller battery with wireless charging is really cool and I can sit my controller down and charge it with an aftermarket grip with knuckle straps. But the base doesn't come naturally with elite straps. The weight causes the headset to tilt back and away from the charging contact. I tried to prop the dock up at an Angle, but it was still finicky and still not in place properly most of the time, even though it looked like it was stuck in place. The price is really disappointing.

This certainly makes Mission 3 easier to charge. Unlike some other third-party options, it doesn't use the USB-C port on the side, so it can charge both the headset and the extra battery band at the same time. In addition, it replaces the battery in the controller with a rechargeable battery. Now, every time I go to play, everything can be up to 100% to get the maximum play time! The price of this product is high compared to other products, but it is well worth it to me. Bonus note: It pairs perfectly with the Meta hand band and the Elite headband with batteries.

So I will begin by repeating what many have already said. I'm a little disappointed with the price and quality. Mostly the earphones. Charging is a lot harder than it should be. For me, it lasted almost a month. Now I can't charge it at all. There are other accessories. The IE active strap is also a bit of a hassle to charge because of the strap. These are all Meta products. It is very disappointing that they did not work together better.

There are several quality issues with this charging station. The headphones need to be supported on the back, otherwise they can't be charged. If the headset is not perfectly aligned, it may start charging and then stop charging when you leave. I've gone back to a broken headset a few times for this reason.

It works. Finally, I want to check Reddit before I buy a charger. It's no surprise that the controller charges perfectly, but the headset must be 100% perfectly aligned or it won't charge. I had to twist it and push it down with terrible pressure in order for the base to detect the headset. Even so, if it's not lined up perfectly, it stops charging as soon as I take my hand off the headset. It took me 20 minutes to get it charging for the first time. Now I put a book on it.

Don't indulge in buying shoddy charging stations. The official one is perfectly functional, and both the headset and controller can be fully charged wirelessly. The new battery is a great fit and can be used with the original battery cover, which is more suitable than the aftermarket battery cover. It's definitely worth it.

Love the charger! However, if you have an elite strap like mine, it tends to be top-heavy and the task is done from the charger, so I had to put something on the back of the headset to allow it to charge properly. Side note: If plugged in, it will charge the headphones and elite strap battery.

I purchased a cheaper charging dock (for VR headsets) but always had problems. Without a doubt, this marina is the best thing I've ever bought! Its simplicity is exactly what I've been looking for, out of the box. Simple, perfect and worth my money! Work like a champion. It's the Cadillac of charging stands, and it won't disappoint. I received this as a gift; It works really well and looks great. The only catch is that when you're using Elite headphones (or third-party headphones), you have to make sure the side band is tilted down as much as possible. Otherwise, the charging port of the earphone cannot be connected properly, causing the earphone to fail to charge. I didn't realize it until I read it online somewhere.

I'm not sure what others are talking about - this task is perfectly appropriate on the dock - I've used it at least five times and only once did it go wrong, just because I moved a controller on purpose to see if retuning would be annoying, which it wasn't. I simply removed it, put it back in place, and it started working again. If you have Mission 3, this is a must

I really like the charging stations on the Quest 3. It comes with a wirelessly rechargeable battery for the controller, so you only need to place the controller on the charger. Same goes for the headset, I put it on the charger and it charges. Do not plug in wires!!

I especially like how my Elite strap works with the battery (both the headphones and the extra battery on the Elite strap can be charged without any extra stretching). The product doesn't have a power brick, but your meta quest 3 headset does. Not sure why you would get this without Mission 3, what would you do with two energy bricks once you have the dock? In addition to this, it is equipped with a special battery that enables the controller to be charged wirelessly.

It's nice to get the batteries, which are obviously sold with the headphones, but I think today is the day. The Dock doesn't seem to allow charging the earphones on a flat surface, so I always put something under the elite battery so the earphones can sit on the Dock while charging, sometimes stopping charging halfway through.

The lines are beautiful. Not out of place in my position. Job well done. I've seen complaints about poor contact with the charging pin when using the Elite Strap with battery. I realized that the trick is to always make sure the straps are in the lowest position. I can charge it all the time now.

Very stylish and great power bank to explore 3. The handheld remote is located on either side of the headset on the charging dock. LED indicators let you know when the headset and remote are fully charged, and it doesn't take long. It's a great piece of gear to recharge for the mission.

It really makes the experience cleaner and easier. A great place to store your headphones and controllers while charging them. No more turning on the controller to change the battery or worrying about a separate rechargeable AA. Quite expensive for what it is, but I think it's a necessary accessory for the Quest 3.

This is a good charging unit, but there is one caveat. The charging cable only needs a small piece of tape to attach to the stand, and the tape may come off. This means that if the charging cable is loose, you have to connect it manually.

Too many Settings. It helps to scan and watch Settings videos on YouTube. I'm a 60-year-old disabled woman and I was finally able to put it together. This is more complicated than I expected. It's clever. I love the lighting. I'm going to remove a star from my comment because the controller on the right won't light up. I finally replaced the battery with the one on the left and got it working. I'm glad I got it. I bought a VR system as a treatment for chronic pain and it works! This charger/stand is a great solution that can be used and charged at any time. My nephews are going to freak out when they visit!

Using this dock means that every time I need to charge my device, I no longer have to deal with cables and plugs, I just place my meta Quest on the dock and it starts charging immediately. In addition to it being able to charge my devices, I can also use it as storage space, basically I put it on a charging stand, and by its design, I have to admit, it makes my Meta Quest look a lot more interesting.

Not sure why some reviews are quite negative about the quest 3's charging station, but from my testing, it does a pretty good job. It's small, unobtrusive, flat, and looks cool. After letting my headphones' charge drop to close to 5%, it took me about three hours to get it back above 90%. My controller battery was about 50% charged and at some point it went to 100% (I charged it at the same time, so no idea how long it would take). This is the controller's rechargeable battery, which is a nice bonus - I hate disposable batteries and try to use rechargeable only for everything.

So I read other reviews about not charging, so hope is low, but so far it's charging well, I think the problem is with the amp, because I notice the higher the charge, the slower it gets, so 0 to 30% is 1 hour, 0 to 85% is 2.5 hours, and then it starts to slow down, so 85 to 88 is about 30 minutes. This makes sense if the base unit outputs a lower number of amps, because the more the battery is charged, the harder it is to send more electricity in.

This is perfect. The charging indicator plus a touchpad allows charging to be turned on and off if you just want to store for any reason. It's organized. It's not bigger than necessary, it charges fast, it's easy to use, it looks nice, and it's organized/clean. I wish it had something optional to wear on my headphones besides the glasses cover, because I'm overly paranoid about the sun and because I've heard horror stories about sun destruction, so I can wear it even from a nearby window

We received this charging station as a gift and love it! So a few months later, we noticed that one of our remotes stopped charging, but after investigating, we found that the battery had changed. The metal prongs on the lid no longer touch the metal squares on the battery, causing the controller to fail to charge. We simply move the battery back into place, replace the cover, make sure the prongs are touching the correct spot on the battery, and charge properly. The reason I took the star was because the magnet in the headset was broken and we couldn't fix it. So right now we can't use a charging station to charge our headphones. We are currently looking for a replacement.

Charging a handheld device or headset is never a problem - the only thing wrong is that the adhesive of the charging cable clamp is not strong enough to hold the cable in place. Do not use cable clamps and do not glue them securely with e6000 or strong glue

It looks well-made to charge the headset well, and the battery life of the controller battery seems to be comparable to using a normal set of AA batteries. However, I have one complaint and one realisation about this. The plastic holder of the USB C cable is just glued to the side of the holder with 3M tape. It won't stand up at all and will just fall off easily, which is why the star is buckled. I suggest making a slot that you can plug directly into. While playing games last night, I realized that having to unplug the USB C end of my headphones to plug the Link cable into my computer is a pain. However, if you're just using the headset for wireless functions, this is a good stand to keep it charged and ready to go. It looks good on display, too.

I'm here to see if I want to return my device because the controller isn't charging and I see other people complaining about the same problem. Then I saw a comment from another buyer who said make sure the little silver bars on the battery face outward so they can make contact with the metal on the charger. I thought my product was defective until I did. I agree that the design could be better, it's hard to unplug the small usb c part from the headset, and the plastic part connected by the wire doesn't stick to the device, what's the point? Overall, minor annoyances aside, this is a good product that I highly recommend to anyone who wants an easier, more aesthetically pleasing charging experience.

Less than a month after buying this for my son, the L controller didn't light up. The battery in the controller must be switched to charge. In addition, the magnet is fixed to the stand to charge the headset where it never stays. It keeps falling off. If it's not these two issues, be prepared. Just disappointed I didn't make it in a month

This is a very good product. The only downside is that rechargeable batteries don't last very long, but you can put different rechargeable batteries in it and the stand is perfect. Charging is the advantage of headphones.

I had to buy a replacement VR headset because my original 1 had an unfortunate accident with a cat and water. Anyway, I love it! However, I've never played a "game" and once I turned around while playing a game and saw a huge spaceship behind me, I was hooked. But I mainly use it for exercise.

I ended up putting it in the living room, but as far as I know, I couldn't turn it off. Assembling and replacing remote controls is easy. Just know that you can't charge the remote with any normal controller cover, as it requires access to the charging bit.

This is easy to set up and only takes a few minutes. Perfectly anchoring the eyeballs. The only thing is, there's a light on the base that's always on. I wish I had the option to turn it off instead of unplugging it, but my kids love it because it's like a nightlight to them, so it's not a big deal.

So seriously, today is the first day of use, and so far there have been no issues except that the LED lights never go out, so I have to unplug it to get to sleep, but other than that, everything else is fine. It's also super easy to assemble! Actually, the only reason I don't give 5 stars is because the lights don't go out at all unless you unplug them.

This looks good, allows the TV to charge, and is easy to put away. My kids can even put it back in its place, so it's done its job. Regarding the plastic sheet that holds the end of the magnetic charger, the adhesive doesn't hold, but I plan to add only crazy glue. Now, it's shaking, but that's good.

The dock looks neat and I like the magnetic charging of the metasquad. I couldn't use the wrist handle with the replacement battery cover. My left controller wouldn't charge at first, but I replaced the batteries with the right controller and they have charged well ever since.
